February: opera and ballet debuts

Artists of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will present their new interpretations of famous opera and ballet roles to the audience in February.

The ballet opera Carmen to the music by Georges Bizet is especially rich in debuts.

On February 12, Karina Radzion who joined the Krasnoyarsk Theatre this season will make her debut in the symbolic part of the freedom-loving Carmen. On the same night, Vassily Korsar will perform the part of Jose for the first time, and Anna Avakyan, also for the first time, will appear on stage as the abandoned Jose’s bride Michaela.

The dance image of Carmen in the ballet opera will be created for the first time by the Honoured Artist of Russia Yekaterina Bulgutova (February 11) and Anastasia Belonogova (February 12). Fyodor Piskaryov will make his debut as Jose - he will take the stage in both February performances of Carmen. Elizaveta Volkova (Mercedes), Daniil Kostylev (Zuniga), Philip Arzhanov (Escamillo) will also perform their first parts in the show.

Ballet Anyuta to the music of Valery Gavrilin will be performed on the stage of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre three evenings in a row - February 17, 18, and 19. On February 17, Elena Mikheecheva will make her debut in the title role. Ivan Karnaukhov (in the dramatic role of Anyuta's father), Alexei Balva (as a count), Anastasia Belonogova and Lolita Moshkova (both as gipsies) will appear on the stage in Anyuta for the first time.
