Georgy Bolsunovsky got awarded the title of Honoured Artist of the Krasnoyarsk Region
Principal dancer Georgy Bolsunovsky has been awarded the honorary title Honoured Artist of the Krasnoyarsk Region. For audiences of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre, he has become a symbol of artistry, professionalism, charisma, and remarkable dedication. The official award ceremony will take place on March 19.
Bolsunovsky is a graduate of the Krasnoyarsk Choreography College. Immediately after graduating in 2015, he joined the company as a principal dancer. His repertoire includes dozens of leading roles, and he has performed on major stages both in Russia and abroad, winning over audiences at the Bolshoi Theatre as well as the jury of the television project Grand Ballet on the Russia Kultura TV channel.
Most recently, Bolsunovsky performed one of the key roles—the Elder—in the premiere of the ballet Pushkin choreographed by Nikita Dmitrievsky to music by Konstantin Borisov. Audiences will have another chance to see the newly honoured artist on March 22, when he takes on the leading male role of Jean de Brienne in Raymonda by Alexander Glazunov.
