Honoured Artist of Russia Ildar Abdrazakov and People's Artist of the RSFSR Sergei Leiferkus have paid a visit to Krasnoyarsk. Master classes by Ildar Abdrazakov took place as part of the 5th International Music Festival established by him. The singers of the Krasnoyarsk opera company Aliona Babivskaya, Davit Yesayan, Vasily Korsar, Sevastian Martyniuk, Sergei Telenkov visited the event.
Sergei Leiferkus flew to Krasnoyarsk at the invitation of the Managing Director of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Svetlana Guziy to a gala concert opening the new 45th creative season. Like Ildar Abdrazakov, Sergei Leiferkus gave a master class to students of the Institute of Arts. Sergei Petrovich helped young singers literally hear their mistakes and shortcomings, reveal the peculiarities of their voice; he also gave advice on how to behave on stage, tune in to a character, convey a character, reveal vibes.
The artist spent several days working with the soloists of the Krasnoyarsk Theatre opera company. Vocalists Vladimir Alexandrovich, Aliona Babivskaya, Violetta Grishko, Davit Yesayan, Aliona Zafran, Victoria Kangina, Vasily Korsar, Ilia Markov, Sevastian Martyniuk, Victoria Maslyukova, Olga Lukianova (Monastyrshina), Natalia Plotnikova, Zoya Rzheplyanskaya, Igor Petryakov, Sergei Telenkov, Anna Kharitonova, Svetlana Cheremnova, Daria Frolova participated in the master class.
“I really love Krasnoyarsk, the city of Dima Hvorostovsky, whom I was friends with; we came here quite often. I consider Krasnoyarsk one of the best cities in Russia: it's cosy, comfortable, there is a wonderful atmosphere here,” the legendary baritone commented on his arrival.
The gala concert, at which Sergei Leiferkus will perform as a guest soloist, will take place on the stage of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. Its programme also includes performances by his students: young opera soloists Yekaterina Zhuravliova, Valeria Latysheva, Gamid Abdulov, and Alexander Markov.
