In the summer, the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will undertake a tour to Moscow

Between July 9 and July 13, 2024, the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will present three productions on the stage of the Moscow Music Theatre Helikon-Opera. The shows will be held within the federal programme Big Tour with the Support of the Roskontsert.

The metropolitan spectators will be presented with the following productions:

  • July 9 – the opéra bouffe Barbe-Bleue by Jacques Offenbach;
  • July 11 – Alexander Tchaikovsky’s opera Yermak;
  • July 12 and 13 – the ballet Dante’s Catharsis to the music by contemporary composers.

In response, the Big Tour programme will bring guests to Krasnoyarsk in June. On the stage of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, artists of the Moscow Academic Maly Theatre will perform three productions of their repertoire:

  • June 19 and 20 – Heart of a Dog, based on the novella by Mikhail Bulgakov, staged by Alexei Dubrovsky;
  • June 22 and 23 – The Cranes Are Flying, based on the play by Viktor Rozov, directed by Andrey Zhitinkin;
  • June 24 and 25 – Balzaminov's Marriage, based on Alexander Ostrovsky’s plays, directed by Alexei Dubrovsky.

Tickets will soon be available for orders.

It was within the federal programme Big Tour that the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre triumphantly performed Don Giovanni, Catarina ou La Fille du Bandit, and Lakme at the Bolshoi Theatre in July and August, 2022.
