Krasnoyarsk artists take part in the Dance Festival in Sevastopol

Principal dancers of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Elena Svinko and Marcello Pelizzoni participate in the International Festival of Professional Dance Theatres Art Bukhta in Sevastopol.

For the first time, the large-scale cultural event will be held as a part of the Year of a Theatre in Russia at the five main cultural venues in Sevastopol between October 8 and 14. On October 9, masters of the ballet art of Moldova and Russian theatres (Novosibirsk, Voronezh, Samara, Rostov) will perform scenes from classical ballets on the stage of the Lavrenyov Drama Theatre.

Krasnoyarsk soloists will dance the pas de deux of Giselle and Albert from the Adam's ballet Giselle and the Venetian Carnival pas de deux from Le Diable Amoureux by Reber and Benoist.

It’s worth reminding that the artists have just performed these scenes in Sochi with great success, having become laureates of the 7th International Competition of Yuri Grigorovich Young Ballet of the World: Elena has won the 1st prize and a gold medal, Marcello has won the 3rd prize and a bronze medal.

October turned out to be very eventful for young dancers. As soon as they get back to Krasnoyarsk, our young principal dancers will take the stage in the Raymonda ballet: Marcello Pelizzoni as a friend of Jean de Brienne - on October 11, and Elena Svinko in the title part - on October 13.
