March-April 2021: new debuts

Artists of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet continue to work on their new parts. New dimension roles are presented in is a compelling reason for music art fans to visit the performance, even if it is well known.

So, in Alexander Borodin's opera Prince Igor, there will be several more such reasons. It’ll take place on March 13; Vladimir Alexandrovich will debut in the part of the intimidating Khan Konchak, the beautiful slave Chaga will for the first time be danced by Elena Svinko. On April 4, Valentin Kolesnikov will take the stage as the young prince Vladimir for the first time.

The night of March 17 will be significant for tenor Alexander Murashov: he will make his debut as the seducer Pinkerton in Giacomo Puccini's opera Madama Butterfly.

A whole bunch of debuts will be in the performance Romeo and Juliet by Pyotr Tchaikovsky. Debutants of April 1: Mercutio - Oleksi Skaliun, Capulet - Georgy Botenkov, Nurse - Ksenia Lyapina. April 2: Tybalt - Matvey Nikishaev, Mother of the Capulet - Anna Fedosova, Soul of Mercutio - Anastasia Nigmatulina.

Denis Antsiferov makes his debut in The Queen of Spades by Pyotr Tchaikovsky on April 18: he will perform the frivolous Count Tomsky.

On April 23 and 24, the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre invites citizens to a rare opera Prisoner of the Caucasus by César Cui. In the second performance, there are two debuts at once: Valentin Kolesnikov as the Prisoner and Honoured Artist of Russia Oleg Alekseyev as Ismail.
