Maria Motolygina and Rauf Timergazin are back to Krasnoyarsk

Maria will sing the part of Donna Anna and Rauf will sing Masetto like they did at the premiere show of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's opera Don Giovanni during the Dmitri Hvorostovsky Festival.

Maria Motolygina is one of the most vivid graduates of the Youth Opera Programme of the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia (2018–2021), where she studied with Dmitri Vdovin, Makvala Kasrashvili, and Svetlana Nesterenko. Possessing a central soprano voice unique in its timbre and technical characteristics, she is an ideal performer of many leading roles in the vast operatic repertoire. The evidence of that is the fact she won various awards of the most prestigious vocal competitions: the Queen Sonja International Competition (the 1st prize, Oslo-Bergen, 2021), the 10th Stanislav Moniuszko International Competition (the 1st prize, Warsaw, 2019), and the 16th Pyotr Tchaikovsky International Competition (the 3rd prize, St. Petersburg - Moscow, 2019).

Maria Motolygina started her artistic journey in Saratov: in 2016, she graduated from the Leonid Sobinov Saratov State Conservatory (class of Professor Lilia Belova), in 2019, she completed an assistant traineeship at the Modest Mussorgsky Ural State Conservatory (class of Professor Lilia Polyakova). While studying in Yekaterinburg, she performed the parts of Vlasta (The Passenger by Mechislav Weinberg), Alice (Le Comte Ory by Gioacchino Rossini), Foreign Princess (Antonin Dvořák's Mermaid), Mrs. Naidu (Satyagraha by Philip Glass), Countess Almaviva (Le Nozze de Figaro by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart), Kupava (The Snow Maiden by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov) at the Ural Opera Ballet Theatre.

Rauf Timergazin graduated from the Leopold and Mstislav Rostropovich Orenburg Institute of Arts in 2017. After having auditioned for the Youth Opera Programme of the Bolshoi Theatre, a third-year student was invited to join its opera company.

In 2016, the singer made his debut at the Bolshoi Theatre. His repertoire includes Laura's guest (The Stone Guest by Alexander Dargomyzhsky), Flemish envoy (Don Carlos by Giuseppe Verdi), Mityukha (Boris Godunov by Modest Mussorgsky, edited by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov), Skomorokh, Messenger (The Tale of Tsar Saltan by Rimsky-Korsakov), Huntsman (Mermaid by Antonin Dvorak).

Between 2018 and 2021, he was an artist of the Youth Opera Programme of the Bolshoi Theatre. In February 2018, he completed an internship at the Paris National Opera; he, after, performed in a gala concert along with artists of the Youth Programme of the Paris Opera on the stage of the Bastille Opera Amphitheatre.
