Peter Feranec to conduct the opera Don Giovanni

Peter Feranec (Slovakia) will once again take the conductor's stand to present Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's masterpiece Don Giovanni to the Krasnoyarsk audience.

Maestro Feranec is the music director and conductor of this sensational production that premiered on October 21, 2021 at the Dmitri Hvorostovsky Festival. The next Don Giovanni performance will take place on 16 and 17 April.

The artistic career of Peter Feranec began with productions of the operas Le Nozze di Figaro and Don Giovanni at the Mozart Festival in Schönbrunn Palace (Austria). Peter Feranec is the first foreign and youngest chief conductor and artistic director in the State Academic Bolshoi Theatre of Russia. His joining the strong team of the famous Bolshoi coincided with the changes in the new democratic Russia and marked a new milestone for the theatre: Mozart's masterpieces were again being performed in Italian on the main stage of the country. Thanks to his invitation, the great Mstislav Rostropovich returned to the stage of the Bolshoi Theatre.

Peter Feranec is known for his unsurpassed interpretations of the masterpieces of European music; he has received worldwide recognition as a conductor presenting outstanding Russian composers to the whole world: Alexander Borodin, Modest Mussorgsky, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Anatoly Lyadov, Alexander Glazunov, Alexander Scriabin, Igor Stravinsky, Sergei Prokofiev, Dmitri Shostakovich.
