The principal singer of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, Honoured Artist of Buryatia Mikhail Pirogov will perform at the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre twice in June.
On June 4, the artist will perform the part of Radames in the opera (the production is called fashion-opera in Novosibirsk) Aida by Giuseppe Verdi; on June 29, he will appear on the Novosibirsk stage as José in Georges Bizet's opera Carmen.
Mikhail Pirogov is already known and loved in Novosibirsk: a month ago, the artist took part in the anniversary gala concert of opera and ballet stars dedicated to the 75th anniversary of NOVAT, having performed Calaf's aria Nessun Dorma from Giacomo Puccini's opera Turandot.
Mikhail Pirogov’s interpretations of the characters of Radames and José are well known to the Krasnoyarsk audience. It’s worth reminding that Pirogov performed José in a series of shows of the ballet opera Carmen at the end of May. On June 16, Krasnoyarsk citizens will be able to see the Honoured Artist of Buryatia in the role of the Egyptian warrior.
This performance of Aida is one of the events of the festival Stars Parade at the Opera. Mikhail Pirogov's partners on the Krasnoyarsk stage will be the guest stars of the opera: the soloists of the Moscow music theatre Helikon-Opera Elena Mikhaylenko (Aida) and Stanislav Shvets (Ramfis).
