Vasiliy Korsar and Maxim Orlov - two young singers joined the opera company of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre.
Vasiliy Korsar, tenor voice, was born in Moscow. He first graduated from the Pyotr Tchaikovsky Academic Music College at the Moscow State Conservatory, later - from the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts - GITIS (the class of Alexander Titel, Opera Artistic Director of the Stanislavski and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theatre). He trained in Italy, performed in La Scala and other theatres in Italy, France, Netherlands. In September 2018, he did an internship as a dramatic tenor with the famous bel canto teacher Anatoly Gusev.
Maxim Orlov, bass voice, is from Voronezh. For several years, he had sung in the Alexandrov Red Army Choir having toured half the world: Bulgaria, Hungary, Greece, Italy, China, Luxembourg, Poland, Slovakia, Turkey, the Czech Republic, and other countries. For five years, he had been a principal soloist with the Central Border Patrol Ensemble of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation. At the same time he studied at the Moscow Conservatory. In April 2016, he made his first appearance in Mozart’s Figaro at the Conservatory’s Opera Theater. Maxim completed his studies in 2018.
Now the artists are preparing to take the stage in June at the large-scale première of Alexander Tchaikovsky's opera Yermak: Vasiliy Korsar in the part of Maxim Stroganov, Maxim Orlov as Tsar Ivan the Terrible.
