New soloist of the Krasnoyarsk Opera Company to make his debut in Prince Igor

On 21 December, a new bass singer Dmitri Bartashkin will make his debut with the Krasnoyarsk Opera Company in a performance of Alexander Borodin’s Prince Igor at the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. The singer joined the company in December 2025.

Dmitr Bartashkin is a graduate of the Tchaikovsky Ulan-Ude Music College and the Glinka Novosibirsk State Conservatory. Since 2021, he had been a soloist with the Tsydenzhapov Buryat State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.

His repertoire includes more than 20 prominent bass roles, among them Prince Gremin (Eugene Onegin), Khan Konchak (Prince Igor), Varlaam (Boris Godunov), King René (Iolanta), and Farlaf (Ruslan and Lyudmila). In Prince Igor (directed by Yuliana Malkhasyants) on the Krasnoyarsk stage, he'll perform the role of Prince Galitsky.
