The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre invites spectators to gala concerts that open the 46th season. Invited stars of the world music art will perform along with Krasnoyarsk soloists.
The striking grand final of the two concerts will be held by Honoured Artist of Russia, one of the most eminent singers in the world Albina Shagimuratova. She’ll perform Norma's virtuoso cavatina Casta Diva of Vincenzo Bellini's opera Norma.
Honoured Artists of Russia Eugenia Obraztsova and Semion Chudin - respectively prima ballerina and principal dancer of the Bolshoi Theatre - have brilliantly performed many leading roles. In Krasnoyarsk, they will present a pas de deux of The Sleeping Beauty by Pyotr Tchaikovsky and the piece Sonata choreographed by Uwe Scholz to the music of Sergei Rachmaninoff.
Both the audience and the ballet company of the Hvorostovsky Theatre are excited about the performances of People's Artist of Russia, NOVAT Theatre prima ballerina Anna Zharova and Honoured Artist of Russia, principal dancer of the Bolshoi Theatre Mikhail Lobukhin: they are not only bright dancers, but also empathetic teachers. Anna Zharova (since May, she’s Artistic Director of the Krasnoyarsk ballet company) and Mikhail Lobukhin will perform Adagio of Aram Khachaturian’s ballet Spartacus.
Garry Agadzhanyan, already popular with the Krasnoyarsk public (the coronation scene from Boris Godunov by Modest Mussorgsky) and Rauf Timergazin (Prologue from Pagliacci by Ruggero Leoncavallo, the finale of the first act of Don Giovanni by Mozart) will take part in the opening of the season.
The concert programmes include other fragments of world opera and ballet classics, as well as examples of contemporary choreography performed by the best dancers of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.
