The Hvorostovsky Opera House is awarded a grant from the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation to create a world premiere - the first production of the children's opera Peter Pan.
In June 2018, the Charitable Foundation for Cultural Initiatives (the Mikhail Prokhorov Foundation) allocated a grant to the theatre to create an opera for children. In November, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, as well confirmed the application for a grant of 1,400,000 roubles for the production of Peter Pan.
The music for the opera is written by the author of the chamber ballet for the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia, composer Andrei Rubtsov, whose works were performed in the six dozen countries from Malaysia to Bermuda. The play is staged by director Maria Tikhonova and artist Irina Sidorenko (Sid), the choreographer is Olesya Aldonina.
