Giacomo Puccini’s Tosca will be performed twice within the 15th International Festival Stars Parade at the Opera. Slovtsov — on February 18 and 19. Before both performances, audiences are invited to meet People’s Artist of Russia Larisa Marzoeva in the second-floor foyer. The role of Floria Tosca is one of the most fascinating and beloved parts of her career.
Each talk will begin half an hour before curtain-up. Larisa Marzoeva will share how she first “met” Tosca, how she developed her vocal and acting interpretation of the role, and what the stage life of this complex character has been like at the Krasnoyarsk Opera. She will also be happy to answer questions from the audience.
In addition, on 18 February, the cast of Tosca will feature two of Marzoeva’s former students, both audience favourites: Honoured Artist of Buryatia Mikhail Pirogov as Cavaradossi and Pavel Antsiferov as Scarpia. Antsiferov has already sung the role in the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, and his appearance in Krasnoyarsk will mark his debut on the theatre’s stage.
