On 15 February, visitors to the Planeta shopping and entertainment centre are invited to a new concert by soloists of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre as part of the Opera at the Planeta series. The event will take place in the Gastroles food park on the second floor of the complex.

The programme will open with the ever-popular Brindisi (Drinking Song) from Giuseppe Verdi’s La Traviata. The concert will continue with arias and duets from much-loved operas including crowd favourites such as the Toreador Song from Bizet’s Carmen, Nemorino’s Romance from Donizetti’s L'Elisir d'Amore, Rosina’s and Figaro’s cavatinas from Rossini’s Il Barbiere di Siviglia, the Duke’s Song from Verdi’s Rigoletto, and Robert’s Aria from Tchaikovsky’s Iolanta.

The finale will be Hallelujah of Love from Alexey Rybnikov’s rock opera Juno and Avos performed by all the participants: opera company soloists Honoured Artist of the Krasnoyarsk Region Daria Ryabinko, Aliona Zafran, Anna Kharitonova, Denis Grechishkin, Honoured Cultural Figure of the Krasnoyarsk Region Alexander Mikhaliov, and Kirill Pankevich.

The concert begins at 2:00 pm. Admission is free.
