Recent graduates of the Choreography College will debut in The Sleeping Beauty ballet

The fabulous ballet The Sleeping Beauty will be performed on New Year's Eve. Young artists of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre who graduated from the Krasnoyarsk Choreographic College only in 2021 will come to the stage for the first time. They’ll debut in several parts including the solo ones.

The night of December 29 will be very important for Lolita Moshkova: she will dance the Lilac Fairy on the Krasnoyarsk stage for the first time. Nikita Lysenko will be the soloist in the Peasant Dance, Arthur Schmidt will make his debut as Wolf and will also perform one of the four princes, guests of the ball. All the young artists who are just starting their careers at the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre have already taken part in crowd scenes of the big November premiere - the ballet Catarina ou La Fille du Bandit (Nikita Lysenko also performed a small solo part there - a cook in a tavern).

In the very last performance of the outgoing year (The Sleeping Beauty, December 31, 18:00), Elena Mikheecheva and Philipp Arzhanov will debut as main characters - Aurora and Desiree. Philip, like Fyodor Piskaryov, will first appear on the Krasnoyarsk stage as one of the princes.

There are debutants in the parts of the guests of the Aurora and Desiree’s wedding: Rentaro Kanazashi (Blue Bird), Elizaveta Volkova (Cinderella), Anna Shamanova (Kitty). Elizaveta and Anna will, for the first time, dance the parts of fairies and maids of honour, Yana Glukhova will perform one of the maids of honour.

As a reminder: at the end of 2021, there will be four shows of the Sleeping Beauty ballet: December 29, 30 at 19:00, December 31 at 15:00 and 18:00.
