Sevastian Martyniuk, a principal singer of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will take part in the closing concert of the 31st season of the Krasnoyarsk Chamber Orchestra (Artistic Director and conductor is Honoured Figure of Arts of Russia Mikhail Benyumov).
The concert will take place on May 19 and will be dedicated to the 185th anniversary of the birth of Pyotr Tchaikovsky. Alongside Tchaikovsky’s instrumental works, the programme will feature a selection of his romance songs including None but the Lonely Heart, I Bless You, Forests, and Serenade, specifically arranged by Maestro Mikhail Benyumov for the Chamber Orchestra to accompany Sevastian Martyniuk.
In May, Sevastian Martyniuk will also appear three times on the stage of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre: as Soldier Shestopalov in the world premiere of Alexander Tchaikovsky’s opera To Love in Wartime based on the works by Viktor Astafyev (1–2 May), as Frédéric in Léo Delibes’ Lakmé, and as Sergei Sergeyevich Paratov in Daniil Frenkel’s opera Without a Dowry.
