Shakespeare. Premiere!

On April 8, 9 and 10 the Krasnoyarsk state opera and ballet theatre presents the premiere of the comic ballet "Much ado about nothing" on Tikhon Hrennikov's music. The ballet master of the performance – the soloist and the choreographer of our theatre Dmitry Antipov.

"Much ado about nothing""Much ado about nothing" – one of the most popular comedies of Shakespeare, as at his life, and now. All play is constructed on the idea of delusion and illusiveness of visible.

Especially for Krasnoyarsk statement the libretto as the uniform version of the ballet doesn't exist has been written. "On my plan in the performance there will be no concrete scene of action, – the director Dmitry Antipov tells. – It will allow the viewer to expand perception borders. The emphasis will be placed on characters and psychological images of the main characters".

The main feature of new statement is that in her there is no corps de ballet. All solo parts: eight girls and young men representing suite and ten main characters. Each of them has the psychological portrait, the social status and the plasticity. In leading roles the leading soloists of the theatre will step on the stage: honored actress of Russia Maria Kuimova, Olesya Aldonina, Anna Snegina, Nadezhda Panfilova, Kirill Litvinenko, Demid Zykov, Kirill Bulychev and others.

The scenography of the performance is solved in the form of "a black office". Scenery won't immerse in action, and will become a certain frame – easy and flying abstract elements. Suits are executed in classical style, but with easy "raid" of Shakespearean era. They create certain art composition on the scene which will become addition to the general scenography created by the famous theatre artist the academician of RAH Dmitry Cherbadzhi.
