Singers from the Bolshoi Theatre and Mongolia to perform Eugene Onegin

On February 18 and 19, the Hvorostovsky Opera House presents Pyotr Tchaikovsky's opera Eugene Onegin. The part of Tatyana in it will be performed by Yekaterina Morozova (the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia) on February 18; the next day, the part of Lensky will be sung by the charismatic tenor singer from Mongolia Tserenchunt Ulziyburen. The shows are part of the festival Stars Parade at the Opera. Slovtsov.

Yekaterina Morozova is a Siberian - she was born in Omsk. She graduated from the Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory. Between 2012 and 2014, Yekaterina was a soloist of the Young Singers Academy of the Mariinsky Theatre; between 2014 and 2016, she was a singer of the Youth Opera Programme of the Bolshoi Theatre. Since 2016, Yekaterina has been a soloist of the Bolshoi Theatre Opera Company. Her repertoire comprises leading soprano roles in operas by Puccini, Bizet, Mozart, Dargomyzhsky, Tchaikovsky; it includes Onegin's Tatyana - the role Yekaterina is going to perform on the Krasnoyarsk stage.

Soloist of the Mongolian Opera and Ballet Theatre Tserenchunt Ulziyburen, like Yekaterina Morozova, graduated from the St. Petersburg Conservatory. His repertoire includes more than 20 roles, such as Ferrando (Cosi Fan Tutte by Mozart), Lensky (Eugene Onegin by Tchaikovsky), Alfredo (La Traviata by Verdi), Rodolfo (La Boheme by Puccini), and others. He was a soloist at the Buryat Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. Now, he works in Mongolia. He has participated in numerous concerts in Russia and recorded ten solo albums. Among his awards, there are the prize for the best performance of a Russian aria by foreign participants (Ulan-Ude, 2015), the 2nd prize at the international competition Vivat, Talant! (Saint Petersburg, 2013), and the 1st prize at the international vocal competition Orpheus (Volgograd, 2010).

Tserenchunt Ulziyburen performed at the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre: he sang the part of Lensky in Eugene Onegin and took part in several concerts including the Voice of Asia (along with Chinese soprano singer Zhang Le and Alexander Mikhaliov) and the Tenors Parade concert. The programme of the festival Stars Parade at the Opera. Slovtsov in 2025 includes the similar gala show (on February 23): Tserenchunt will again take the stage of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.
