February 2025: opera and ballet debuts

At the end of the month, the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre traditionally invites spectators to meet the new roles of the artists of the opera and ballet companies.

In Sergei Prokofiev's ballet Romeo and Juliet, Ruslan Abolmasov will appear on stage for the first time as Paris on February 12, Ksenia Lyapina as the eldest Capulet on February 13. In Aram Khachaturian's Spartacus (the long-awaited premiere of the renewed version of the ballet took place in October last year), Ksenia Krentovskaya will debut as Phrygia on February 21; the dramatic role of Gladiator will be performed for the first time by Ruslan Abolmasov on February 21 and Kirill Bulychiov on February 22.

In Leo Delibes' opera Lakme on February 16, Elena Nikutina will sing the role of Mallika for the first time, Natalia Plotnikova will perform the role of Bentson, and Vladimir Lebedev will sing Le Kouravar. Elena Nikutina will also make her debut in the role of Olga in Pyotr Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin on February 19, and Nikita Gusmanov will debut in the comic role of Triquet the same night.
