People's Artist of Russia, soloist of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, vocal teacher Larisa Vladimirovna Marzoeva celebrates 45 years of her stage activities. Graduates and students of her class at the Hvorostovsky Siberian Institute of Arts will present a concert in honour of their mentor on December 18.
Grateful students of Larisa Vladimirovna, soloists of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Zoya Rzheplyanskaya, Davit Yesayan, Pavel Antsiferov, Denis Grechishkin, Sevastian Martyniuk, and choir singer Aldar Dampilov will perform excerpts from operas at the Small Academic Concert Hall. The event is called With Gratitude to the Teacher.
The concert will be held with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, as part of the events of Year of Teacher and Mentor. Victoria Goikhman is going to play the piano; the concert hostess is Doctor of Art History Lyudmila Gavrilova.
Larisa Marzoeva joined the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre in the first days the Theatre was founded - right in 1978. Her creative background includes more than 30 roles of coloratura, lyric-coloratura, lyric and dramatic soprano. She worked together with Dmitri Hvorostovsky and Valery Gergiev.
In the very 1978, Larisa Vladimirovna began her teaching career at the Maxim Gorky Krasnoyarsk Teachers Training College. Since 2003, she has worked at the Faculty of Solo Singing and Opera Training of the Krasnoyarsk State Institute of Arts (nowadays, the Hvorostovsky Siberian State Institute of Arts). She’s Professor of the Faculty, author of scientific and educational publications on teaching the vocal skills. Between 2016 and 2023, Larisa Marzoeva was Artistic Director of the opera company of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. Since April 2023, she has been a vocal teacher in the opera company of the Theatre.
