Minister of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Region Arkady Zinov presented awards to representatives of the cultural sphere of the Krasnoyarsk Region. Among them, employees of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre ranked high.
Within the Main Collegium of the Ministry of Culture of the Region, an official ceremony of presenting the certificates “Honoured Cultural Professional of the Krasnoyarsk Region” and the State Prizes of the Krasnoyarsk Region in the field of culture took place.
The title of Honoured Cultural Professional was given to the conductor of the Hvorostovsky Opera and Ballet Theatre Alexander Yudasin.
There are two Theatre’s laureates of the regional award in the field of culture.
The Theatre’s Chief Choirmaster Dmitri Khodosh received the State Prize of the Krasnoyarsk Region in the opera field as a conductor and chief choirmaster for working on and conducting the following productions: the operas Lakme by Léo Delibes and La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi, the choreographic mystery Leningrad Symphony to the music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart , Alexei Syumak, and Dmitri Shostakovich, the music fairy tale Peter und Paul Schlafen ins Schlaraffenland by Franz Lehár.
A principal dancer of the ballet company Yuri Kudryavtsev was given the Godenko State Prize of the Krasnoyarsk Region in the field of choreography art for performing roles in the ballets Catarina ou la Fille du Bandit by Cesare Pugni (the role of Salvator Rosa), The Black Man by Oleg Prostitov (Poet), Raymonda by Alexander Glazunov (the knight Jean de Brienne).
Later that day, Arkady Zinov opened the concert dedicated to Cultural Professionals’ Day and presented the anniversary badges of honour “200 years of the Yenissei province”. Honoured Artist of Russia, tutor of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Vera Surovtseva was awarded with this badge. This prestigious award dedicated to the anniversary of the Krasnoyarsk Region marks the denizens of the Region for outstanding labour achievements in their fields of activities.
