On September 6, right before the opening of the theatre’s 42nd season, the meeting of the opera and ballet companies of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre will take place. It’s going to begin at 11 a.m.

It’s a tradition that the theatre’s team annually gathers to sum up the results of the previous season and learn about the plans for the upcoming one. Friends and partners of the theatre - the Minister of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Region Arkadiy Zinov, representatives of the regional and city authorities - will come to congratulate the team on the new stage of work.

On behalf of the regional government, the Ministries of Culture and Education of the Krasnoyarsk Region, the Mayor’s Office, and the Legislative Assembly of the region, they’ll hand out honourable certificates and letters of gratitude to anniversary celebrants and those who proved themselves worthy during the 41st season.

At the meeting, the theatre’s management will present a report on the successes and achievements of the team and introduce new artists of the company, as well as talk about plans for the 42nd season, in which the theatre intends to present spectacular projects to the audience and perform in new art spaces.

The 42nd season of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will officially open on September 13 with Alexander Tchaikovsky’s opera Yermak; its world premiere was successfully held at the end of the previous season.
