As part of the largest regional music event - Dmitri Hvorostovsky Festival, - the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will host a large-scale concert on October 18.
On October 18, soloists of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Anna Avakyan (soprano), Violetta Grishko (soprano), Daria Ryabinko (mezzo-soprano), Denis Grechishkin (baritone), and Sergei Samusev (bass) will perform at a concert dedicated to the outstanding Russian singer Dmitri Hvorostovsky. The music director of the concert, conductor and pianist Christian Koch will conduct the orchestra of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.
The first part of the concert will feature chamber vocal miniatures: lyric songs by German composers Richard Strauss (will be sung by Denis Grechishkin, Violetta Grishko, Sergei Samusev) and Alban Berg (by Anna Avakyan).
The music of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart will be performed in the second part of the concert. An overture from the opera Così Fan Tutte, ossia La Scuola Degli Amanti will open it. Spectacular excerpts from the great composer's operas will be presented by Daria Ryabinko (Sesto's aria from La Clemenza di Tito), Sergei Samusev (Bartolo's aria from Le Nozze di Figaro), Violetta Grishko, and Anna Avakyan (arias by Ilia and Elettra from Idomeneo).
The concert programme also includes an instrumental fragment: andante from the Piano Concerto No. 21 in C major (soloist Christian Koch). At the end of the concert, the aria Ch'io Mi Scordi Di Te? (“Will I Forget You?”) will be performed by Daria Ryabinko.
The festival is held by the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Art Development Foundation and supported by the Ministry of Culture of Russia, the Government and the Ministry of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Region.
