The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre’s soloists received awards

On September 17, the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Region Alexander Uss handed out awards to the soloists of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.

Svetlana Ratslaf-Levchuk received the Honoured Artist badge and a certificate. The title of Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation was conferred to Svetlana in summer: President Vladimir Putin signed the corresponding decree #274 on June 13, 2019.

The certificates “For Many Years of Conscientious Work and a Great Personal Contribution to the Development of Culture in the Krasnoyarsk Region” were presented to People's Artist of Russia Vladimir Efimov and Honoured Artist of Russia Vera Surovtseva.

It’s worth reminding that Svetlana Ratslaf-Levchuk began performing on the stage of the Krasnoyarsk Opera House in 1998 while being still a student of the Krasnoyarsk Institute of Arts. 20 years ago, in 1999, she became the member of the theatre’s company and she immediately started to perform leading parts of the soprano repertoire in the operas by Mozart, Verdi, Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Prokofiev, Borodin, Puccini, Leoncavallo. Over the years of her creative work, the singer has won the love of the audience, and her merits were many a time appreciated by the authorities. She is an Honoured Worker of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Region and twice a laureate of the Krasnoyarsk Regional Festival Theatre Spring (for the parts of Aida and Médée in the operas by Verdi and Cherubini).

Vladimir Efimov has been performing at the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre for 40 years. He gave more than 300 solo concerts throughout the country, performed on federal and regional television, toured halfway around the world. Besides, Vladimir Viktorovich is an experienced vocal teacher, he’s a professor of the Krasnoyarsk Academy of Music and Theatre (now it’s the Hvorostovsky Siberian Institute of Arts).

Vera Surovtseva became a principal dancer of the Krasnoyarsk ballet company in 1977; she danced the parts of Odette, Sylphide, Carmen, Conchita, and others. Her performing of Eve in the ballet Creation of the World by A. Petrov was qualified as “a real discovery” by the ballet media in 1986. Vera Nikolayevna currently is a teacher and tutor of the theatre’s ballet company.
