From 8 to 12 of November Krasnoyarsk will become the capital of world ballet - in our city went representatives of various Russian and foreign ballet schools. Today, 8 November, on the stage of the Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet theatre will start the II tour of International Ballet Competition "Grand Prix of Siberia", which will be held in the fram of the IV International Forum "Ballet XXI Century", dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of Sergei Prokofiev.
The jury consisted of prominent domestic and foreign ballet: Brigitte Lefevre - choreographer, ex-director of the Paris Opera Ballet (France); Vyacheslav Gordeev - people's artist of the USSR, artistic director of the Moscow regional state theatre "Russian Ballet" (Russia); Mikko Nissinen - teacher, artistic director of Boston Ballet (USA); Tursynbek Nurkaliev - honored worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the director of the ballet company of the State Theatre of Opera and Ballet "Astana Opera" (Kazakhstan); Elena Andrienko - honored artist of Russia, associate professor of the faculty of choreography of the Russian University of Theatre Arts (GITIS), (Russian Federation); Sergei Bobrov - honored artist of Russia, artistic director of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre (Russia); Andrejs Zagars - actor, director, teacher of the Department of directing and skills of musical theatre actor at the Russian University of Theatre Arts (GITIS) (Latvia); Zhao Ruhen - people's artist of China, chairman of the union of choreographers of China (China); Sara-Nora Kristeva - artistic director of the ballet of the Sofia Opera and Ballet Theatre (Bulgaria); Saadet Zeynep Sunal - choreographer, artistic director of the International Ballet Festival in Bodrum (Turkey); Valery Anisimov - people's artist of Russia, head of the department of classical dance of the Moscow State Academy of Choreography.
Remaind, the I qualifying tour (in absentia) of competition was completed at the end of October. To participate at the II round 38 dancers was allowed from Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine.
Ballet dancers will compete for the title of the best in two age groups: younger (under 18) and older (19-26 years). In addition, participants in the competition will receive special prizes from the governor of the Krasnoyarsk territory and the award "For successful training of participants" (for teachers), "The best modern choreography" (choreographer), and the special prize and diploma of the International Federation of Ballet Competitions "Best performance of the choreography on Sergei Prokofiev's "music.
The names of the winners of the contest will be announced on November 12 at the closing ceremony of the IV International Forum "Ballet XXI Century". On the same evening on the stage will be the big gala concert of the winners.
