Our principal soloists are to take the stage of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre in the “travelling concert” Around the World in 80 Minutes. They’re going to perform songs of various countries.
The Mongolian song Baljijn Gol (Lake Baljijn) by the composer Enkhteven completed the programme. It’ll be performed by Mikhail Pirogov.
Anna Kiseliova will offer a trip to Bulgaria while performing Maria's aria of the Maria Desislava opera by Parashkev Hadjiev Svetlana Ratslaf-Levchuk is a participant of the concert along with Marina Kipingan: they’re going to perform the Cio-Cio-san and Suzuki duet from Giacomo Puccini's opera Madama Butterfly.
Inna Spodina will present arias from operas by George Gershwin and Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov. Alexei Bocharov is going to sing not only the most known stanzas of Escamillo of Georges Bizet’s Carmen but as well the equally popular Russian fling song Vdol po Piterskoy (Down the Peterskaya Road). Svetlana Cheremnova is going to perform Natalka’s song of the Natalka Poltavka opera by Mykola Lysenko. Eugene Baldanov, Natalia Plotnikova, Alexander Mikhaliov will take the stage and perform songs of Italy, Russia, Mexico, France and Israel.
This concert is a great opportunity to plunge into the culture and music of different countries in the cosy chamber atmosphere of the theatre’s art café because music can tell so much about the life and national character of people in a particular country.
