The soloist of Helikon-Opera Stanislav Shvets to perform in Aida

The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre will present the performance of Aida on February 14. The Verdi’s opera will be performed within the Bel Canto in Siberia project. The principal singer of the Moscow musical theatre Helikon Opera, laureate of international competitions Stanislav Shvets will come to the stage as Ramfis.

“This is my first visit to Krasnoyarsk. For me, the Krasnoyarsk Opera House is foremost connected with Dmitri Alexandrovich Hvorostovsky, with whom I performed a lot on various opera stages. He invited me to sing at his Hvorostovsky and Friends concerts. Many of my colleagues at the Helikon-Opera have already performed on the Krasnoyarsk stage; all of them note the high creativity level of this theatre as well as the excellent attitude of all employees towards guest singers - this is extremely important. I hope my acquaintance with the Krasnoyarsk audience and the Opera House in February will be wonderful. In the future, I would like to take part in the Dmitri Hvorostovsky Festival that takes place in Krasnoyarsk in autumn”, commented Stanislav Shvets.

The artist has been a member of the opera company of Helikon-Opera for 20 years. Over the years, he played the brightest bass roles in operas by Russian and foreign composers, such as Boris Godunov and Pimen in the Mussorgsky’s opera Boris Godunov, Prince Gremin in Eugene Onegin by Tchaikovsky, King of Clubs in The Love for Three Oranges by Prokofiev, Don Basilio in The Barber of Seville by Rossini, Daland in The Flying Dutchman by Wagner, and others.

Stanislav sang the part of Ramfis of Aida on many stages: in the USA and Europe, including the legendary Albert Hall in London. The Helikon-Opera theatre travelled all over Europe with the production of Aida.

Along with Stanislav, the Bolshoi Theatre soloist, People's Artist of Russia Irina Dolzhenko will take the stage of the Hvorostovsky Opera House as Amneris. On February 14, the Aida performance will be conducted by the Italian conductor Jacopo Sipari di Pescasseroli.
