The Stars Parade at the Opera. Slovtsov Festival is closed
The 15th International Festival Stars Parade at the Opera. Slovtsov took place at the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre from January to March 2026. Sharing the stage with the theatre’s own performers — heirs to the legacy of Pyotr Slovtsov — were guest soloists and conductors including leading figures from both the Russian and international opera scene.
The festival featured nine events in total: six opera performances (including the premiere of Rigoletto directed by Sergei Novikov) and three concerts. It opened with the Parade of Tenors and concluded with a recital by Sergei Leiferkus, one of the world’s leading baritones who chose to celebrate his 80th birthday on the Krasnoyarsk stage. The programme also included the Viva Mozart concert marking the 270th anniversary of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
A total of 16 guest artists visited Krasnoyarsk, representing four countries—Italy, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, and South Korea—as well as four of Russia’s leading opera houses including the Bolshoi Theatre, the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theatre, the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre, and Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. Among them were 14 vocalists and three conductors, with renowned opera star Dmitri Korchak appearing in a dual role as both tenor singer and conductor.
“Stars Parade at the Opera. Slovtsov is more than a series of outstanding performances—it is a true celebration of high art. Bringing together exceptional musicians from Russia, Italy, South Korea, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan, the festival has become a lasting cultural tradition. It offers audiences a unique opportunity to experience some of the finest performers from around the world,” said Arkady Zinov, Minister of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Region.
