The tour of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre to begin in the capital of Kazakhstan

On November 29, the tour of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre begins in Nur-Sultan. It’s a part of the Russian theatres’ touring programme Big Tours.

An international press conference opens the series of touring events today. The following persons took part in it: Director of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Svetlana Guziy, Artistic Director of the theatre, Honoured Artist of Russia Sergei Bobrov, a principal dancer of the theatre’s ballet company, winner of international competitions Elena Svinko, the soloist of the opera company, Honoured Artist of Buryatia Mikhail Pirogov.

Right after the conversation with reporters, Mikhail will take the stage as Vladimir in the Prince Igor opera by Alexander Borodin. Alexei Bocharov is going to perform the title role of the show. Honoured Artist of Russia Svetlana-Ratslaf-Levchuk will sing the part of Yaroslavna. The part of Konchakovna will be performed by the winner of international competitions, nominee for the Golden Mask 2020 Daria Ryabinko, Konchak – by Ilya Krivchikov. The laureate of international competitions Vladimir Alexandrovich will debut as Prince Galitsky.

The second performance of the tour is the Raymonda ballet by Alexander Glazunov. It’ll be presented to Nur-Sultan’s fans of the opera art on December 1. The title part will be danced by Elena Svinko, the part of Jean de Brienne – by Yuri Kudryavtsev, the Abderakhman’s part - by Egor Osokin.

This tour is a return visit: On October 23 and 25, the Astana Opera Theatre performed the Eugene Onegin opera by Pyotr Tchaikovsky in Krasnoyarsk as part of the Dmitri Hvorostovsky Festival. The Krasnoyarsk theatre’s performing of Raymonda will also be a part of the festivities: On December 1, the country celebrates the Day of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Nursultan Nazarbayev.
