The vernant Vivaldi will be performed at the Orchestra Formula concert in May

The programme of the themed concert Pearls of the Baroque from the educational cycle Orchestra Formula includes works by Antonio Vivaldi, Johann Sebastian Bach, and other prominent representatives of the North German Baroque that are so loved by the audience. The concert will be held on May 5.

One of the parts of Vivaldi’s cycle The Seasons is traditionally performed at the Orchestra Formula in accordance with the season. In May, it certainly is Spring: it’ll be performed by the soloist Dmitri Kosolapov, concertmaster of the orchestra of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, author of the programme and music director of the Orchestra Formula cycle.

The concert called Pearls of the Baroque can’t do without Johann Sebastian Bach: there’ll be an especially large number of his works on May 5. The chamber orchestra of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera House will perform true musical pearls: Brandenburg Concertos No. 3, 5 (part 1), and 6 (parts 2, 3).  The soloists are Yulia Sabitova (violin), Pavel Studennikov (flute), Polina Sokur (viola). The soloist of the Krasnoyarsk Academic Symphony Orchestra Olga Ziborova (viola) takes part in the show as a guest musician.

The concert programme includes several works for two violins. They are Bach’s Concerto that was already performed by the theatre’s musicians (in particular, at the baroque concert Happy Lovers, Mad Sufferers), Vivaldi’s Trio Sonata No. 5, and Heinrich von Bieber’s Partita No. 3 (soloists Dmitri Kosolapov, Olga Spiridonova, Tatiana Lavrentieva). Besides, the following trumpet players will perform a duet: Anton Matveev and Makar Vakhrushev will perform the Sonata for two trumpets by Georg Philipp Telemann.

Regular guests of the Orchestra Formula shows know that musicians frequently present unusual arrangements at the concerts. This time, Yulia Sabitova and Andrey Kholomkin will present their violin and bassoon versions of inventions No. 2, 8, 9, 13, which Johann Sebastian Bach created for the clavier.
