Ticket sales have begun for productions and concerts of the Krasnoyarsk Hvorostovsky Opera and Ballet Theatre scheduled from January to May 2026.
The theatre’s website, Krasopera.ru, now offers tickets for the season’s upcoming premieres — Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Requiem (January 28, Giuseppe Verdi’s Rigoletto (February 7 and 8) staged by Sergei Novikov, the ballet Pushkin set to music by Konstantin Borisov and choreographed by Nikita Dmitrievsky, and Giacomo Puccini’s La Bohème (April 28, concert performance).
The festival Stars Parade at the Opera. Slovtsov will open on January 31 with the gala concert Parade of Tenors. As part of the festival, audiences will see Puccini’s Tosca (FFebruary 18 and 19), Tchaikovsky’s Eugene Onegin (February 25), Rossini’s The Barber of Seville (February 28), Verdi’s Aida (March 5), Puccini’s Turandot (March 27), and the festive concert Viva Mozart (March 8). The festival will conclude on March 29 with a jubilee concert by People’s Artist of RSFSR, baritone singer Sergei Leiferkus, a frequent guest of the Stars Parade.
Two productions will be presented as anniversary shows of the theatre’s artists: Verdi’s Il Trovatore (with Honoured Artist of Russia Svetlana Ratslaf-Levchuk as Leonora) and Valery Gavrilin’s ballet Anyuta (with Honoured Artist of the Krasnoyarsk Region Ivan Karnaukhov as Pyotr Leontyevich).
In the second half of the season, audiences will also see the ballets Catarina ou La Fille du Bandit (winner of the Golden Mask Grand Prix 2023 for Best Ballet Premiere), the beloved Spartacus, and Tikhon Khrennikov’s Hussar Ballad returning to the stage after a two-year break. Timeless classics will also be featured — Tchaikovsky’s opera Iolanta and the ballet Swan Lake.
Traditionally in May, the theatre will present a night of one-act ballets: Farewell Bow and Alexander Tchaikovsky’s opera To Love in Wartime based on works by Viktor Astafyev. At the end of May, another work by Alexander Tchaikovsky will be performed — the opera Yermak.
