Anna Kiseliova and Eugeny Baldanov have performed at the Viktor Astafyev Library

Soloists of the Krasnoyarsk Hvorostovsky Opera and Ballet Theatre — Honoured Artist of Russia Anna Kiseliova and Honoured Artist of the Krasnoyarsk Region Eugeny Baldanov — took part in a concert dedicated to the Remembrance Day of Viktor Astafyev. The event was held at the writer’s library-museum in the village of Ovsyanka.

The artists performed several vocal miniatures. Anna Kiseliova presented to the audience a song by Krasnoyarsk composer Vladimir Porotsky to lyrics by Viktor Astafyev, Ah Autumn Autumn, as well as Zhenya’s Romance from Kirill Molchanov’s opera The Dawns Here Are Quiet, and Yuri Saulsky’s Bloom, My Land.
Eugeny Baldanov delighted listeners with the Neapolitan song Dicitencello Vuje in Rodolfo Falvo’s arrangement and the Russian romance My Joy Still Lives by Mikhail Shishkin. The programme also included duets: Sebastián Iradier’s La Paloma and the ever-popular Smuglyanka by Anatoly Novikov. Elena Chepurnaya accompanied on piano, with Irina Chepurnaya performing the violin part.

A reminder that Anna Kiseliiva and Eugeny Baldanov can soon be heard again in Krasnoyarsk: on December 12, the concert of songs and romances Along a Long Road will take place at the KRAZ Opera, the new stage of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre (Metallurgists' Palace of Culture and Sports, 30 Telman Street).
