Tickets for December performances are on sale

The repertoire of the last month of 2021 includes both the favourite performances of Krasnoyarsk residents and premieres. Tickets can already be bought at the theatre box office, on the Krasopera.ru website and from ticket operators Krasbilet, Kassir.ru, Kassy.ru.

The semi-staged production of Ruggiero Leoncavallo's opera Pagliacci directed by Elizaveta Korneeva will open the December repertoire; its premiere took place at the end of the previous season. The show will be held on December 1. Already on December 5, the theatre team will invite Krasnoyarsk residents to the enthralling new performance - an advance premiere of the opera I Capuleti e i Montecchi by the master of bel canto Vincenzo Bellini. An advance premiere is a pre-premiere show, a kind of test of a spectator's reaction so that the production can be refined. Elizaveta Korneeva will present her vision of the music story of young lovers based not on the well-known tragedy of Shakespeare but the novella by the 16th-century writer Matteo Bandello.

On December 12, the premiere of the beautiful and genial music fairy tale The Blue Bird to the music by the Krasnoyarsk composer Eugenia Teryokhina will be held. It is based on the play of Maurice Maeterlinck about the search for happiness, reinterpreted by director Vyacheslav Tsyupa. This is a good option for families to visit the theatre and a New Year's gift: the shows will also take place on December 18 and 30. On December 25 and 26, the musical Maman by Gérard Bourgeois will be performed on the stage of the Krasnoyarsk Opera House.

Conductor Ivan Velikanov will present the next concert of the cycle introducing the orchestra musicians to the audience in the foyer of the theatre (December 18), as well as a festive concert of early music Christmas of Old Europe (December 27).

Fans of Russian classics will be pleased with Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov's opera Snow Maiden, which has not appeared on the playbill for a long time, as well as, Pyotr Tchaikovsky's great ballets The Nutcracker (December 22-26) and The Sleeping Beauty (December 29-31): they are a sine qua non at the New Year's holidays every year.
