On Saturday, September 11, the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre holds a delicious festive event Autumn Promenade. To visit it, you need to register by calling the theatre box office.
Guests will be greeted in the foyer of the ground floor covered with colourful autumn leaves and sheets of paper containing verse lines. The “autumn fragments” from the Four Seasons musical cycles created by composers from various countries and epochs (Vivaldi, Haydn, Tchaikovsky, Glazunov, Loussier, Piazzola) will be performed.
In the foyer, famous word-painters will come out to the spectators ... Afanasy Fet, Fedor Tyutchev, Sergei Yesenin, Marina Tsvetaeva: they’ll read their poems. Maybe the audience will respond in kind? There will be a special rostrum for this. Of course, it will not do without Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin himself: Krasnoyarsk citizens will be able to take pictures in his office. In addition, a bull surrounded by gifts of autumn will serve as a bright background for photos (a stage set from Donizetti’s opera Viva la Mamma!). In the list of entertainments, there are also quizzes and contests with coveted awards.
A surprise is prepared for the spectators in the foyer of the second floor: instead of rows of seats, there are benches and a large table with a samovar there. The heroines of Eugene Onegin Larina, Tatiana and Olga will invite you to have a cup (or two) of tea. Of course, the highlight of the programme will be a concert. Soloists of the Krasnoyarsk Opera House will perform music compositions dedicated to autumn: popular songs and romances. The atmosphere will be warm and welcoming.
The Autumn Promenade is a part of the all-Russian event Cultural Saturday held at the initiative of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation. Admission to the event is free. Since the number of seats is limited, if you want to attend the event, you need to register by calling the theatre box office (8 - 391) 227-86-97. The event starts at 15:00.
