Victoria Maslyukova to perform in a concert dedicated to the writer Viktor Astafiev

In the Small Hall of the Krasnoyarsk Philharmonic Society on April 26, a concert of the Krasnoyarsk Academic Symphony Orchestra will be held. A soloist of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Victoria Maslyukova will take part in it.

The concert is dedicated to the outstanding writer Viktor Astafiev. Its programme will feature the work of the contemporary Siberian composer Valery Beshevli for soprano and symphony orchestra Keep in Memory to the verses of the Krasnoyarsk poet Anatoly Tretiakov. The soprano part will be performed by Victoria Maslyukova. This cycle of vocal and symphonic miniatures is based on Astafiev's collection of autobiographical stories Zatesi (“Memory Notches”). A concert poem for the large symphony orchestra Zatesi will also be performed; it’ll be conducted by Mikhail Mosenkov.

Victoria Maslyukova will repeatedly take the stage of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre in the near future: April 29 and 30: she’ll sing Eleanore, a wife of the title character in Jacques Offenbach's Barbe-Bleue; May 14: Victoria will, for the first time, perform the role of Natalia Zhemchuzhnaya in the Pyotr Tchaikovsky's opera Oprichnik; May 21: she’ll debut as Lily, Vasily Surikov's wife, in the Alexander Tchaikovsky's opera Yermak.
