The Russian National Theatre Award Golden Mask has announced the laureates for the 2021-2022 season. The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre received three Golden Masks for the ballet Catarina ou la Fille du Bandit to the music by Cesare Pugni.

The winners of the most significant theatrical award of the country are:

• Best Ballet Production - Catarina ou la Fille du Bandit by Cesare Pugni;
• Best Female Part - Elena Svinko (Catarina);
• Best Composer in a Music Theatre - Pyotr Pospelov.

As a reminder, three theatres from Moscow and Yekaterinburg competed with the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre for the Golden Mask award.
