The new soloist of the Krasnoyarsk state opera and ballet theatre Elena Svinko became the bronze prize-winner of the XXVII International competition of ballet dancers who passed from July 15 to July 30 in Varna (Bulgaria).

This competition – one of the most prestigious ballet competitions in the world. For participation in it 155 applications from 35 countries were submitted, but only 25 dancers reached the final.

Outstanding figures of the domestic and foreign ballet among whom there is the chief ballet master of Primorsky opera and ballet theatre Eldar Aliyev, choreographers Rada Poklitara and Pyotr Lukanov, the French dancer and the ballet master Eric Wu An, the artistic director of opera and ballet theatre in Istanbul Aysem Sunal, the artistic director of the Sofia opera and ballet theatre Sara-Nora Krasteva and others entered into structure of jury which was headed by the People's artist of the USSR Vladimir Vasilyev.

"This competition was very important for me as it is considered one of significant international contests, – Elena Svinko says. – Strong dancers took part in it, and it is very pleasant to me that, despite a fierce competition, I could achieve good result".

We will note, Elena Svinko the numerous winner of the All-Russian and international competitions, the graduate of the Krasnoyarsk choreographic college, and since  new 39th theatre season – the soloist of the ballet troupe of the Krasnoyarsk state opera and ballet theatre.
