We congratulate our ballet soloists on their well-deserved rewards!

The Krasnoyarsk dancers proved again that they are one of the best in the Russian ballet! The ballet soloists Nadezhda Panfilova and Daniil Kostyilev took the second and third places in a high-profile competition - the 2nd Russian contest of ballet dancers and choreographers. The soloists danced the dance of Ethiopians slaves duo“Ballabile” of the opera “Aida” by Verdi.

“This was the first time I took part in a such high-profile contest and I’m very happy I was able to take the third place. The final round was extremely exciting, because I had to give it my all”, - says Daniil Kostyilev, - “Thanks to the contest, I understood my shortcomings which I am to make good and I found the ways to develop myself!”

Anastasiya Belonogova also took part in the competition - she’s a contest diploma winner.

The contest performances took place in the Moscow State Academic Children’s Music Theater Named After Natalya Sats. More than 80 artists from 21 cities and towns of Russia participated in the contest.

The contest jury consisted of the Russian ballet maitres, such as the principal of the Moscow State Academy of Choreography, People’s Artist of Russia Marina Leonova, the artistic director and chief choreographer of The Kremlin Ballet Theatre, People’s Artist of Russia Andrei Petrov, the Krasnoyarsk Opera’s artistic director Sergei Bobrov and many others. People’s Artist of the USSR Yury Grigorovich chaired the panel of judges for the competition.

Tonight, there’ll be a solemn ceremony of honouring the winners as well as a big gala concert in the theatre - the artists are going to perform “Rural Don Juan” (choreography by Leonid Yakobson).
