On November 29, the Historic Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre hosted the awards ceremony for the 10th National Onegin Opera Award. Among the winners were representatives of the Krasnoyarsk Hvorostovsky Opera and Ballet Theatre.

Mariinsky Theatre (Primorsky Stage) soloist Aliona Diyanova won in the Guest Artist category for her performance as Turandot in the eponymous opera by Giacomo Puccini at the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre. Production director Sergei Novikov received the Onegin Award as Best Director for this production.

Sergei Novikov is also the stage director of Gaetano Donizetti’s Anna Bolena at the Moscow Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Music Theatre — a production that won in the Event — Traditions category.

Turandot will return to the stage of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre on 21 and 22 January 2026. In addition, the company is currently working on Giuseppe Verdi’s Rigoletto, directed by Sergei Novikov. Premiere shows are scheduled for 7 and 8 February, and the tickets are already on sale.
