The Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre presents a kind of parade of the opera vocalists. The concert Opera, Love, and Dream comprises excerpts from popular Russian and foreign operas.
The concert of the opera company soloists will take place in the cosy atmosphere of the theatre foyer. The first part will be devoted to Russian music, the second one to European works. The first part will feature arias and duets from the following opera masterpieces by Russian composers: Iolanta, The Enchantress, and The Queen of Spades by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, The Tsar's Bride by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov, Ruslan and Lyudmila by Mikhail Glinka, Boris Godunov by Modest Mussorgsky, Mavra by Igor Stravinsky.
The second part will feature excerpts from the operas Rigoletto, Ernani, and Nabucco by Giuseppe Verdi, The Tales of Hoffmann by Jacques Offenbach, Romeo and Juliet and Faust by Charles Gounod, Le Nozze di Figaro by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Carmen by Georges Bizet, La Wally by Alfredo Catalani.
Aliona Babivskaya, Violetta Grishko, Aliona Zafran, Victoria Kangina, Olga Monastyrshina, Davit Yesayan, Alexander Mikhaliov, Sergei Samusev, Sergei Telenkov will take part in the concert. Anastasia Kosinskaya and Natalia Sobinkova will accompany the singers at the piano, Yekaterina Zubkova and Alexander Mikhaliov will be the hosts of the event. The concert will have an outstanding finale: the most popular Drinking Song from the Verdi's opera La Traviata performed by all participants.
The concert will take place on February 26 and will close the winter events programme of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.
