A new stage of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre has opened

On 21 November, the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre officially inaugurated its second venue — located in the Metallurgists' Palace of Culture and Sports at 30 Telmana Street. The day before, a special presentation for the media took place.

Guests and journalists were introduced to the upcoming playbill and plans for the next several months. The first event on the new stage was a concert from the Maestro Invites series conducted by Honoured Artist of Russia Anatoly Chepurnoy.

“Art Near Home is not a slogan but a reality that we are now creating together. The Soviet District now has its own cultural home, where residents, within walking distance, will be able to experience opera, ballet, symphonic music — a place where premieres will be born and generations will meet.
We thank the audience who shared this important evening with us. We thank our artists for their sincerity and readiness to go wherever they are awaited. Ahead, this space will offer an art café, solo concerts, exhibitions, masterclasses, and much more that will become part of the district’s daily life,” said Svetlana Guziy, Chief Executive of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.

The new venue includes a main stage with a 596-seat auditorium and a dance hall for 200 guests.
