Anna Kiseliova to give a Gala Night in October

The principal singer of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Anna Kiseliova will invite Krasnoyarsk residents to her solo concert in October; it’ll be held in the foyer of the theatre as a creative meeting.

The performance will present various genres: the programme will include opera arias, popular Russian romance songs, French chanson, Italian and Soviet pop music, songs from your favourite films, works by Krasnoyarsk authors, and even a song by Vladimir Vysotsky. But what songs the singer is going to perform is still a secret. The audience will be surprised ...

“I have conceived a very diverse concert programme. Two years ago I performed five solo concerts at the Krasnoyarsk House of Cinema - all of the concert programmes were different. They included film music, a New Year's concert, Russian romance songs, a concert for Women’s Day on March 8. All genres were presented in the first part of the concert cycle. Thus, my new performance is being created under this principle. The meeting with the audience at the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre will provide a comprehensive reflection on my creative work. There will be new works in my performance: the audience will learn about what will soon be included in my repertoire, - said Anna Kiseliova.

Still, the veil of secrecy was slightly lifted. Now Anna is working on a programme consisting of songs by her favourite singer Anna German. In 2022, it will be 40 years since the death of this Soviet pop star: the next concert will be dedicated to her memory. So, Anna Kiseliova will perform several songs from Anna German's repertoire at her meeting with the audience on October 10.

The concert is named Love is a Magic Land. The instrumental ensemble Maestro will accompany Anna. It includes musicians of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Orchestra Irina Chepurnaya (violin), Natalia Chepurnaya and Sergei Gavrilenko (cellos), and opera accompanist Elena Chepurnaya (piano). Anna Kiseliova will also sing along with the Russian Soul guitar ensemble (laureates of international competitions Anton Verishko and Artyom Titov).

The famous Krasnoyarsk singer only performs the repertoire that is close to her heart. That’s why an atmosphere of sincerity always pervades her performances. It’ll stay that way at the creative meeting on October 10.
