The new season begins: debuts in September and October

Several artists of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre are going to introduce their first performances to the audience in September and October.

Principal tenor Valentin Kolesnikov debuted in the last performance of the 43rd theatre season as Nemorino in Gaetano Donizetti's opera L'Elisir d'Amore. Kolesnikov's new debut is scheduled on September 18 in the first performance of the 44th season - Alexander Borodin's opera Prince Igor. Valentin will take the stage as the young prince Vladimir Igorevich for the first time. Valentin has thoroughly worked on the role for a long time: the debut was scheduled for the April opera performing, but it did not take place for technical reasons.

On October 8, the opera Medium by Gian Carlo Menotti will be performed in the format of an art cafe. The young baritone Pavel Antsiferov makes his debut in the role of Mr.Gobino. In May 2021, Pavel won a gold medal in the Academic Singing nominated category of the prestigious international art competition - the 20th Delphic Games.

Principal singer of the Krasnoyarsk Opera House Alexander Mikhaliov has his debuts in October, too. On the 15th and 16th of October, the baritone will demonstrate his vocal and acting skills for the first time in Gaetano Donizetti's comic opera Don Pasquale as the conniver Dr.Malatesta.
