On 17 January — the birthday of Konstantin Stanislavsky, the first People’s Artist of the USSR, an outstanding teacher, and the creator of the modern acting system — Russia will celebrate Artists Day for the first time.
To mark the occasion, the theatre invites audiences to a creative meet-and-greet with People’s Artists of Russia Larisa Marzoeva and Vladimir Yefimov, as well as Honoured Artists of Russia Olga Akinfeeva, Vera Baranova, and Oleg Alekseyev. Guests will have a chance to get to know leading figures of the opera and ballet stage more closely, hear engaging stories from the lives of prominent artists, and take part in an open, heartfelt conversation about the role of art and theatre in everyday life. There will also be time for questions—and, of course, music.
Artists Day is a perfect reason to visit the theatre with the whole family. Meeting favourite performers promises to be a warm and memorable shared experience. Admission is free, but registration via the link is required.
The event will take place on 17 January at 4:00 pm in the second-floor foyer. Space is limited, so early registration is advised.
Artists Day is a new professional holiday celebrating performers in theatre, film, circus, popular entertainment, and music. It was established in July 2025 on the initiative of Vladimir Mashkov, Chair of the Russian Theatre Union.
