Many literary works, operas, ballets (the most famous one is the ballet by Sergei Prokofiev), musicals, films have been based on the plot about the love of young people from the families feuding with each other ... Director Nadezhda Stolbova abandoned the linear narrative in her experimental production and mixed various scenes of Shakespeare's tragedy in various genres: the actors first recite the same episode or monologue and then dance. Demid Zykov’s task was precisely to stage these dance versions of events and rehearse them with dramatic artists. Moreover, he himself performed some dances on the stage during the show.

Demid Zykov has been with the ballet company of the Krasnoyarsk Opera House since 2002 performing more than thirty solo parts. He has proved himself not only to be a professional dancer but also a master of acting in such roles as Widow Simone in La Fille Mal Gardée or the Innkeeper in Catarina ou La Fille du Bandit.
 Since 2016, he has been a tutor of the ballet company of the Theatre.  In 2018, he received the Teacher’s Prize for training participants of the 5th International Ballet Competition Grand Prix of Siberia (Krasnoyarsk). Along with Olesya Aldonina in 2020, he created the piece Perekrestreshchenki for the participants of the Bolshoi Ballet TV project Anna Fedosova and Marcello Pelizzoni.

As a tutor, Demid Zykov took part in working on nearly all the ballet productions in the repertoire of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.
