Dmitri Yurovsky to conduct in St. Petersburg

Music Director and Chief Conductor of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre Dmitri Yurovsky will take part in a large-scale concert at the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Hall on December 19.

This event is part of the programme of the 23rd International Winter Festival Arts Square dedicated to the outstanding maestro Yuri Temirkanov. Dmitri Yurovsky will take the conductor’s stand of the Russia-wide known St. Petersburg Philharmonic Orchestra. The programme includes genuine masterpieces: Franz Liszt's Second Piano Concerto and Gustav Mahler's Fifth Symphony. The soloist is an internationally acknowledged pianist from St. Petersburg, winner of prestigious competitions Miroslav Kultyshev.

Dmitri Yurovsky will conduct the orchestra of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre in January 2024: the maestro will open the festival Stars Parade at the Opera. Slovtsov (on January 20 and 21, the festival opening gala concerts will be held in Krasnoyarsk); on January 30 and 31, he will conduct the concert Pictures at an Exhibition. Reboot based on Modest Mussorgsky’s works (the event is also included in the festival programme).
