On April 16 and 17, 2022, the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre and the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Fund for the Art Development present a joint production of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's opera Don Giovanni.

The production premiere on the stage of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera House took place on October 21, 2021. It achieved an overwhelming success and was one of the most spectacular events of the Dmitri Hvorostovsky Festival. The opera Don Giovanni is a brilliant work by Mozart. It is fittingly called the “queen of operas”. Dmitri Hvorostovsky himself shone in the roles of Don Giovanni and Leporello on stages all over the world.

The artistic director of the Festival Anton Levakhin brought together an international team to create the production: music director and conductor Peter Feranec (Slovakia), production director Michael Sturminger (Austria), assistant conductor and teacher-accompanist Christian Koch (Austria), set designers and costume designers Renate Martin (Germany) and Andreas Donhauser (Austria), lighting designer AJ Weissbard (USA), artist and designer of the stage curtain Akhsar Muriyev (Russia).

We are glad that Don Juan is back on our stage and waiting for you at the theatre on April 16 and 17.
