Georgi Smilevsky and Natalia Krapivina held master classes for the ballet company

People's Artists of Russia, premier danseur and prima ballerina of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theatre Georgi Smilevsky and Natalia Krapivina conducted a series of master classes for the ballet company of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre.

Georgi Smilevsky was born in the Bulgarian capital Sofia. In 1993, he graduated from the Moscow Academic Choreography School; between 1993 and 1995, he danced at the Bolshoi Theatre (Yuri Grigorovich's studio). Since 1995, he has been a ballet dancer of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theatre; in 2006, he became there Honoured Artist of Russia, and in 2013 - People's Artist of Russia.

Natalia Krapivina, like Georgi Smilevsky, is a 1993 graduate of the Moscow Academic Choreography School. She has been dancing for 30 years at the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Theatre; she also works as a teacher and choreographer with figure skaters in the Moscow Sports Committee.

The specialists shared their secrets of mastery not only with the artists of the Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre, but also with young dancers of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Choreography School.

We add that the whole family of the ballet star and teacher Georgi Smilevsky is connected with dancing: his son Dmitri is a principal ballet dancer of the Bolshoi Theatre, his nephew Georgi Jr. is a principal dancer of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Theatre.
