Three guest bass singers will sing at the Chaliapin Gala concert

Guests will perform at the Chaliapin Gala concert on the stage of the Hvorostovsky Krasnoyarsk Opera and Ballet Theatre: three spectacular artists, three bass singers - Garry Agadzhanyan, Khurelbaatar Oyunchimeg, Sergei Sevastianov.

Garry Agadzhanyan previously took part in the Stars Parade at the Opera festival and performed for the Krasnoyarsk audience the aria of Mefistofele from the eponymous opera by Arrigo Boito. Garry was born in Armenia. He graduated from the Ural State Conservatory. As a soloist, he collaborates with many Russian creative teams in the opera and ballet theatres of Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Chelyabinsk, Yekaterinburg, Perm, in the Mikhailovsky Theatre in St. Petersburg, the Bolshoi Theatre of Russia, the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Academic Music Theatre. In the concert Chaliapin Gala, Garry Agadzhanyan will appear as Ivan Susanin (Ivan Susanin by Glinka) and two Mephistopheles (operas Mefistofele by Boito and Faust by Gounod).

Khurelbaatar Oyunchimeg also visits Krasnoyarsk not for the first time: a charming guest from Mongolia took part in concerts of the Stars Parade, as well as in an event dedicated to the 140th anniversary of Fyodor Chaliapin 10 years ago. Khurelbaatar graduated from the Music and Dance College in Ulaanbaatar; since 2011, he has been a soloist of the State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre of Mongolia. In Krasnoyarsk, he’s going to sing Banco (Macbeth by Verdi) and Leporello (Don Giovanni by Mozart).

Sergei Sevastianov is currently a soloist of the opera company of the Primorsky Stage of the Mariinsky Theatre. His repertoire comprises not only bass opera parts, but also numerous chamber works by Russian and Western European composers, folk, military, Soviet songs. The programme of the Chaliapin Gala includes arias of Gremin (Eugene Onegin by Tchaikovsky), King Philippe (Don Carlos by Verdi), Prince Galitsky (Prince Igor by Borodin).

The concert Chaliapin Gala is dedicated to the 150th birthday of Fyodor Chaliapin and is part of the programme of the Russian Opera Festival Slovtsov. Postscriptum.
